Hi this is a true story which happened to me last year. I am a 23 year old from Manchester in England and have recently gained a Bachelors degree from the university of Leeds. Whilst at home in my old bedroom during the easter holidays from University, i was in that half asleep half dreaming state which occurrs just before you dooze off to sleep, when i heard what can only be described as loud church bells chiming that funeral march tune(There is no church near my house!) being half asl e ep i rationalised what i had heard as part of a dream and though perturbed continued to lie in bed, though now very much awake. Shortly after however and even louder(really very loud) than the bells i heard the sound of a baby crying, now seriously freaked out i ran to the hallway, where i met my sister who had heard the same thing and was crying and shaking. We rushed into my parents room however they had heard nothing. Eventually me and my sister got back to sleep and the event became one o f those story’s you tell your friends, however 3 months later my mum announced at 48 she was pregnant, was my little brother Steven announcing his unexpected arrival in style?

story: Hi I’m Lizzy and this is a story that happened to my mother and I. Okay, This happened when my Mom, Dad and me (I was only a baby) were visiting my Oma and Opa on my Dad’s side of the family. It was night and my Mom was sleeping in my Dad’s old bedroom while I was in a bundle of clothes on the floor. As my mother told me she suddenly woke up in the night and felt like she was being watched so she sat up and saw a pale figure of a girl wearing a puffy white night-dress and long blond hai r standing at the end of her bed. The figure just stood there staring at her and then looked over at me before disappering. The next day my Mom told my Dad what happened. He said that recently his little 5-year-old sister had been hit by a car and died immediatly. Since she hadn’t lived long enough to see me I have always thought that she wanted to see what her new neice looked like. I swear on my life that this is a true story and I hope it wasn’t too boring for you to read.

A friend of mine is a vetrinary technician and has worked in numerous vet clincs over the years. There was one place that was strange though. All the techs at this one clinic would have a frightening dream about being chased through the clinic by “something” at one time or another. My friend had told me this and I asked if she had ever had this dream and she said no, not yet. I would often go with her when she had to take care of the animals over weekends or holidays and help out. O ne night it was my turn…

It was a clear dream and everything appeared real. I found myself running through the clinic with the feeling that there was something behind me, just beyond my sight, and that this entity didn’t want me there. I also think it enjoyed the chase because I was somehow in it’s place/frame or more closer to its existance where it could reach me. I was overwhelmed with fear, but I remember wondering why this was happening to me because I didn’t work there. I remember stopping just before I got t o the kennel room, turning around, and yelling out “Hey I don’t work here!” Suddenly I was awake, like someone had flipped a switch and I never had that dream again. This place had a higher number of deaths associated with surgeries than any other clinic my friend had worked at. They also had problems with some of their equipment turning on and off, batteries draining, tools missing that sort of thing. Anyway, the owner sold the place and it is now an eye clinic. I have often wondered if an y of those people had strange dreams.

i haven’t told anyone this before because i didn’t want to bring it up again so..

i was at my grandmothers house and my sister and my cousin were sleeping in the living room. i could’nt get to sleep so i just lay there for a long time.i started to doze off .The living room was next door to the kitchen and on the counter there was a cutting board ,all of a sudden i heard like finger nails tapping on the bread board really loudly i looked up and i saw a shadow in the kitchen it was really dark so i didn’t know who it was.

i got up and turned the light on and their was no one there and i got freaked out so i just went to bed trying not to think about it. in the morning i had asked my grandparents and my parents if they had been up out night and they all said they didn’t get up at that time.

i don’t know who owned the house before my grandparents moved in but i don’t know what happend or who it was.

It was a Tuesday morning and got up to get ready for school. As I headed into the kitchen to get a glass of orange juice, I heard a very clear and very distinctive babies cry. It sounded like it was coming from behind our sink. I ran to my mom and said ” Mom, I just heard a baby cry!” Naturally, she didn’t believe me. Our house is new but people lived on our property before us. Way, WAY back in like the 1800’s. It’s been almost a year now and I still don’t know what it was. This is kind of a short story, but it is true. I was coming home from church one day, and the road we (my mother, sister and I) normally travel was blocked by a recent “up-grade” to the road. We took the next road and got onto the normal course we took home. As we passed by a condo(minium), I happened to look over at the drive way to see a woman in overalls staring at the ground. She didn’t look anywhere but down. She was also wearing a bright shirt underneath the overalls. The car passed by a tree, blocking my view of her. After the tree moved, the woman was gone. I still believe that it was some sort of ghost, even though she was opaque, (not letting any light pass through)like humans are. E-mail me if you’ve seen this “young woman” in overalls and a bright shirt before. I’d really like to hear your story!

My old house…

This story takes place in Ontario. Me and my parents used to live in an older house. We had lived there ever sence I can remember. As I got older aroudn 7 and 8 I started havign many experiences. I used to have many dreams (nightmares). Almost all of them had to do with the house (this being before I had even seen a horror movie). Like for example: something that looked like my mother but wasn’t and dolls with moving eye’s. On one occasion (when i was awake) at about 12 a.m. I was layign on my bed with a tooth ache. I looked out in to the very dark hall and I saw three things float in to my room. They had dark robes and faces that looked like white plates. All in a row they stood infount of my open door. Just looking. Then they went away. I was so scared I didn’t know what to do. I have man many more experiences but I can not remember them all. They happened when I was very young.

The funny thing is that after we moved to another house on the other side of town The bad dreams stopped and I NEVER had any problems again. I have only once since we moved been back to that house. I heard that the new people who moved in had some of the same stuff happen but no one believe’s me or them.

I never tried to envestigate what might have happened there

One night I was sitting in the study about 8.00pm I heard my mom talking on the phone.She later informed me that my father who had that week been ill in hospital had died.

Exactly a month later when I was sitting in my study at exactly 8.00pm I saw a shadow go accross the wall. The strange thing was that it looked the same as my fathers shaddow, same build and everything.

Exactly one year later and the last of the paper work from my fathers death had been sorted out and that night as I lay in bad I heard my fathers whisper in my ear “Everythings going to be alright now” and that is the last I ever heard of him.I some how feel now that I am always being cared for and that goasts are maybe just there to reasure us in time of need.

A few weeks ago, I slept round at my friends house. I have always thought her house curious, and on several occasions, have seen a black figure. The first time I saw the figure, was when I came to call for her, to walk to school. I was also with another friend. I went inside, and stood at the bottom of the stair way, waiting for my friend to come out of the bathroom.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a black shape, move across the living room, which is close to the foot of the stairs. I looked at My friend.

“Did you see that?!” she said I told her exactly what I had seen, and it matched what she had seen too. When my friend came down the stairs, we told her what we had seen, but, being a strong character, she refused to beleive it.

Anyway, back to when I slept at her house. We had got my quilt and sleeping-bag sorted, and we were just about to go to sleep. I was awaken, when the light in her room, switched on by itself. I started panaking, and woke my friend. We decided to sleep in the room downstairs, in the double bed.

In the morning, we woke up, to have my friends dad hand us a cup of tea. And then he went downstairs. We were talking about what happened that evening with the light switch, when Emma said- “Dad, can I have some sugar in my tea?.. dad?” I told my friend that he had gone downstairs, and her face went pale. “I didnt do that on purpose! I swear I thought it was my dad! I saw him move across the landing”. But he was downstairs. She described him just like the figure I had seen on that morning when I called for her. It is very strange, the dark figure is only seen when I am in her house…

When I was about 8 or so (around 1970) my mum, dad and I went on holiday to Hastings. We had a great deal of trouble finding somewhere to stay – dad never booked ahead – and after spending 1 night in the car, we managed to get a room in a B&B above a souvenir shop. Being an inquisitive child, I searched the room high and low and checked under hte bed for monsters. The first night was incident free, but on the second, I found a small teddy peeking out from inder the bed. I took it to b ed with me that night. During the night, I had a very disturbing nightmare about an old woman in a black cloak coming and trying to steal me away out the window. My mum and dad woke up having had a dream about someone trying to take me away. The rest of the night they couldn’t sleep because of the sound of someone being violently sick. At breakfast the nest morning, they asked who had been ill the night beofre. No one owned up to being responsible for the noise. Dad then asked the landlor d if the teddy belonged to the child who had the room before, only to be told that there had been no children in that room for weeks. We left for Glasgow that day, and we didn’t take the teddy with us.

I read the story “baby dream” and it made me think of something that happened to me. This may sound alot like the story, but I swear it is true. When I was pregnant with my son, we were very poor. We lived with my husband’s parents, and my mother in law and I fought almost constantly. In fact, she pushed me once while I was at least 8 months along, and I fell over a chair. I had bruises. I was depressed and lost hope, and thought about putting my baby up for adoption. I already had a daughter, and was not happy with the life she had. I wanted her to have better. Well, that night I dreamed that I had, in fact, put my son up for a d option. I resented my husband, for I blamed him for the circumstances that led me to make my decision, so I left home and my daughter and I went to a shelter. I must have befriended my son’s new parents, because they let me keep him from time to time. I remember holding him and crying when I saw them pull up to pick him up. They were in a red Jeep Cherokee. I composed myself and returned him, but as I watched them drive away, I broke down, saying over and over that I wanted my baby back. Well, that was enough for me. I knew I definately did not want to give my child up, and no matter what happened, we would be happy together. I didn’t realize it until months later, but looking at pictures of him when he was 2 months old, I realized he looked exactly like the baby in the dream. No one believes me. They shrug it off as a coincedence, but I just know.

I swear to God this is true!

i was on aol and i put on my away message for a few minutes while i helped my mom do something. As soon as I was done, I walked back to the third floor and walked into the computer room. my room is right down the hall. as I sat down, was getting ready to turn off my away message when I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. They then made their way in the direction of my room. i heard my door open. I thought it was just my mom checking whether my room was clean or not. I went in there and there was of course no one there. i called for my mom and she said she had been on the first florr and hadn’t left there since she got home. It really freaked me out.

Now, my house turned 100 this year (2003) so that explains this story two ways:1. the old house made noises, but how did the door open? 2. there was a ghost or something like that that walked up the steps and into my room.

Story: I am not going to use real ppl or ages in this story to keep me and my friends safe.

I’m 17. I have had some weird experiences with ghosts in my life, and they’ve been bugging me and I hate it. So I’m gonna tell you about them.

Friends: Pinky & Mystical Mischief

A couple years ago, truthfully I was 4, I was left alone while watching the Lion King in our old den. My brother had shut the door tightly. I swear. I was in the scene with Scar and the hyenas when the doorknob turns and the door opens. Nobody is there. I get creeped out cause it’s the middle of summer, the air conditioning’s off, and I feel like it’s the middle of winter. So I run out crying for mom. She tells me it was probably a wind from a closing door down the hall. But how can a closing door wind open a CLOSED DOOR?

Fast forward to when I’m 8 years old. My mom and I are alone in our house. No dad or brothers. We’re both downstairs and it’s about noon. I am watching a couple movies (Mary Poppins!) and my mom is in the living room, alone without any noise. I get up, leaving the TV on, and walk in. I sit down next to her and we start talking. The TV turns off and Cuban Music turns on. I didn’t have one of the remotes for either one. And there was no power surge. I turn the Cuban Music off, and the TV turns itself back on. Freaky!

2 years later to when I’m 10. Then I realized there was a ghost in our house (with persuasion from Pinky and MM) and when I was 9 we talked at a Cici’s Pizza about the ghosts haunting us. Pinky has a ghost named Tom who haunts her house and died in a car crash at age 16. MM has a little kid she saw die. I have my little friend from above, who I have seen now, and I have named her Shihatsu.In the middle of that conversation a strong breeze, just breeze, comes in even though there are no windows open and nobody opened a door. I think it was her Shihatsu. Her name came from a character I made up. It’s one of my comic book characters and I made the character look like her. Yes it’s a she. She hasn’t done any damage, exept freak our dog out a lot more than usual, so I don’t bring her up much. Other things happened after those 3 things I put above, but they’re not worht telling.

I was in my backyard just having a ciggarette, and i looked toward the back of our garage (detached form the rest of the house), and i felt someone watching me. Then i saw a 3-D shadowy figure in the shape of a tall man come from behind our garge. It walked along the side of our fence and walking right trhough the fence! The fence wasnt even open., it just went right through. I ran upstairs to get my gun, i had no clue what it was or if it would try to do anything to hurt my family. This is only one story of my Mom coming back after she passed away. This is the latest… I always get up early, make my coffee, get online and have some “quiet time”. I don’t smoke inside the house and usually go to the back deck after I have had my first cup of coffee for a cigarette. I was coming back in after my smoke and caught an aroma of my Mom’s perfume. It smelled like rosebuds. It was a very strong scent. I thought to myself… “Mom, you’re back again aren’t you ? ” (since this is not the first time she has “been around” since her death) I then poured myself another cup of coffee, came back to my laptop only to find that I had been booted. MY laptop NEVER shuts down from AOL. I looked at the screen and saw an earlier email from my cousin whom my Mom just adored. The email was dated the SAME DAY my Mom died 2 years ago. Since I didn’t have anything to do with opening that particular email I knew Mom had been around… again. I have several more stories to share about her presence after her death that I will email at a later date.

I’ve been reading all the stories and decided that I’d submit this story. It is true and just happened yesterday!

I got up at 7:30am to get ready to go to work. Once I was dressed and everything, I went to the kitchen to get breakfast and was standing in front of the refrigerator with the door open. As I was standing there looking at the ingredients on a jar, I felt like someone was there with me. I turned to see what or who was there and I saw a older woman’s face very close to my face. It was only her face. There has never been a woman to live in the house that’s not still alive. Her face was very stern…noone’s face that I’ve ever seen before. Just kind of freaked me out!

Other strange things happen in that house, but they always involve a man. He is more than likely mt fiance’s grandfather who used to live there but past away 4 years ago. He did not die in our house, but he did build the house himself, so he probably wants to stick around because of the memory of that house.

As for the woman….we have no idea!

About 1995 or so i was sharing an apartment with several friends. chris and I shared the finished attic as a bedroom and music rehersal room. The attic was large and had two beds a drum kit, guitars, and amps. The room generally had a lot of activity as one would imagine. The house was a very old victorian and had a lot of people pass through it over the years. We had not had any strange experiences in the year we had lived there but the former tenants who were friends of mine reported that they sometimes felt uncomfortable at night.

One night I went up to the attic to practice on the bass guitar by myself as my roommates were downstairs. Since we had been playing earlier that day the first thing I did was to turn the volume knob on the amp down to level three, since turning on the power with the volume up on ten causes a loud, static noise. I began to play and really jam out for about fifteen minutes or so when all of a sudden the volume got so loud it almost blew my eardrums out. I was completely starteled and figured that I must have blown the amp out or maybe one of the bass guitars pickups. However when I looked at the amplifier I noticed that the volume knob was turned to level ten!!! I was frozen in my tracks for what seemed like five minutes, I was shaking and could feel all my body hair standing on end. I turned of the amp and went downstairs were my roommates asked if I had just seen a ghost. I said no but I think there is one up there.

This happened about 3 days ago, im writing this Thursday, June 30. It was about 3:00 PM and we were visiting my moms friend. It was sunny out, a regular day as far as the desert is concerned. Her house is in a mess and she has some dome shaped spider webs by her bed(domed as in going up, there is no wind or current in the room, just spider webs doming up, a rather scary house. Well i was getting tired so i decided to take a nap. I asked her if i could sleep in one of the rooms in her house, she said yes and told me to go to the first room on the right. i walk in and it is messy as the rest of the house is, but this room has almost an aura of spook to it. In it there appears to be a shrine with some Buddhist pictures, one of the current dhali lama and one of the past one( sorry if i misspelled that). Some of you may know what im talking about but those who don’t imagine, there were some other pictures of some other people. As i looked at the pictures i had the feeling that the people were not around anymore ( as in deceased). well after looking around for a bit, i lay down to sleep. after sleeping for a while i woke up and i realized that the room had grown noticeably colder(she has no air conditioning) after i noticed that i felt a sharp blow to my stomach. i look around rather scared and there was nothing there anywhere. I have no medical problems that might cause this and i don’t believe that anything popped as i would have noticed by now. I have had some other ghost experiences before. when i lived in oceanside, by escondido, in California, there was an old lady ghost who lived in my room she was friendly. she liked to open my window. now to give that story a little bit of credit the window was one of those with a bolt, and if anyone can explain to me how that kind of window can come unbolted in the middle of the night by its self id like to hear it. well im not sure what to think about the phantom kicker id appreciate any sincere replys about it. my e-mail is sandsufer69@hotmail.com

Wen i was younger i never liked the dark but my parents made me turn my light off anyway. i had one brother, he was younger than me. My mum put me to bed one night and left my door slightly open. I had an old wooden bed where you could see through the gap in the headboard. I was asleep for ages and then i woke up. I reached onto the floor to get my juice cup and as i came back up i peered through the gap in my headboard. I noticed that my door was open more and as i looked harder, there was a short figure standing looking at me. it was too short to be my mum and my brother was in his cot. it sounds stupid i know but it kinda looked a bit like bart simpson. it just wouldnt stop staring at me and it was grinning. i began to think that it was a ghost. i was to afraid to move so i just shut my eyes and fell asleep. Another night i needed the loo so i went. i’d had an awful lot to drink and i think i got out of bed about 4 times to go across the landing to the bathroom. i needed to go again so i got out of bed and began walking across the landing but i stopped still. there was someone or something stood at the top of the stairs. it looked dark and it looked as if it was bald but it really scared me so i quickly backed off to my room. i never believed in ghosts but sumtimes now i still worry at night!

Story:

This is a story I heard from one of my ex-teachers a long time ago.

The army I knew in Singapore always had training sessions where they had to hike up rather steep mountains within a given time. One time, thirteen soldiers and their team seargent were doing their routine training session hiking up the mountain. While hiking up the mountain, one of the soldiers drowned in deep mud. He tried to call out for help but the others did not hear him because they were hiking at a rather fast rate and by the time he had drowned, they were almost at the top. At the top, the seargent took roll and all the soldiers had to line up according to their assigned numbers. “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12…” One by one the soldiers called out, but there was no 13 because that soldier had drowned. They searched for the soldier but never found his body. To this day, everytime there are 12 soldiers doing their usual hike up the mountain, the ghost of the 13th soldier always seems to be there for roll call, yelling out: “13” after the 12th soldier.

Well, this happened about a month ago. I went to a family reunion in the canyon with my parents and everyone was having a great time talking and socializing. While sitting in a camping chair, I remember seeing something white in my corner of my eye. When I looked over, I seriously saw a small girl. She had brown hair, and she was wearing a small white ruffly dress. I asked my mother(she was sitting by me), who the little girl was. There were alot of children there, so it was sort of confusing. I told my mom what she looked like, but my mom hadn’t even seen her! It was really strange. At first I was worried I was just seeing things, but I saw her again!

Well I live in a quiet little town up in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. And if any of you know, alot of things happen up here. Well I am talking about a little town called Sidnaw, Michigan.

When I was 12 years old my parents got divorced and my dad moved into Sidnaw. Which was just a few miles away from where I live with my mom. I would visit him every weekend. And most school nights I would stay with him. I realized there was something wrong with the house when most of my things seemed to be misplaced. But they would always turn up in the oddest places. And weird things too, like my shirts or my knee brace for basketball. And my candles and lighter would disappear often. One night my friend and I were laying on the floor in my room after we had gotten home from a friends house. It was about 3 in the morning and my dad was up the road at the bar. I have a black shade over my window and there were no lights on in the house. And there are no street lights either. But anyway, we were laying there and I was almost asleep and she grabbed my arm and whispered “look in the corner” yeah like I could see anything it was pitch black out I thought. I opened my eyes and there was a white glowing thing in the corner of my room hovering over my bed. Now I was scared. And as we watched it, it moved down the wall and went behind the bed and underneath it. It stayed underneath my bed and cast a weird glowing light. It then proceeded to go to down by our feet. Which were not covered with any blankets. There was a cold feeling in our feet like someone had opened a window. We quickly stood up and grabbed a blanket. We ran out the front door and started walking up the road to go get my dad. And as luck would have it, we met him a couple blocks up. We told him the story and he went up into my room and told us we were both nuts and told us to go to bed. Needless to say we weren’t going to be getting any sleep that night. So we stayed up all night and watched T.V. And I don’t have that room anymore, I traded my brother for it.

the story i’m about to tell may strike some of you as petty or not scary because i know that you probably seen worse. but this is the first ghost experience i ever had living in the 11 years i’ve been living here.

It was the night of April 26, 2000. It was at least 12:30 in the morning and everyone was asleep but me. I was sitting in my livingroom witht the door about 5 inches opened. I was getting pretty bored so I decided to turn the TV on. When the show I watched got to boring for me, I decided to read a book. As I read something told me to look up. When I did, to my suprise, I saw a child around the age of 6 or 7 run by the doorway. I woke my mother up and told her what happened. From what I remember it looked like a little girl running into the bathroom with shoulder length hair. The 2 most distinctive parts I remember was the color of the shirt (half white and half red) and it was a fuzzy kind of see through. While speaking to my mother, she told she seen a little boy stare at her while she ate. As we spoke my sister (who was half awake and half asleep) and mother stood in the place where I saw the child run. They said they were freezing. I was a little shocked by that because not only was the heat on but when I stood in the spot I felt fine. Just a month before we started smelling cigarette smoke meanwhile no one was smoking.

Could it be that a family of children died in my apartment and are trying to tell me something? How come it only appeared to me and my mom? And does the color of the shirt symbolize anything? If anyone can help me with these questions feel free to send me an e-mail.

When I was thirteen or fourteen years old, my older sister and I were in my bedroom trying to sleep (she was watching the series Kolchak the Night Stalker and was freaked) anyway, about 2:30 AM we both woke up when we heard a little girl running up and down the hallway. All we heard was running footsteps and giggling. When I opened the door, noone was there so we went in and asked my mother about it and she said to go back to sleep that it was only Shelly, our six year old cousin.

In the morning when we got up, our mother was in the kitchen and we asked where Shell was. She looked at us funny and said Shells not here what are you talking about? When I told her that we woke her up because of the running and giggling and she told us it was her my mom looked kind of strange and said she had no idea what we were talking about.

Two weeks later I saw my grandfather and told him about it. He looked kind of sad and said it was Shelly, however it was our Aunt Shelly who died in the house when she was four years old. Apparently she was running in the upstaires hallway and fell down the steps and broke her neck. The weird thing about this is, we never knew that we had an aunt named Shelly, my father never spoke about her, and everyone just kind of kept a secret about the way she died and the fact that she ever was!

Near my house in Cambridge Ontario there is an old building called Preston Springs. It at one point was a hotel, and most recently was an old folks home, that being about 20 years ago. Late one night as I was walking past it from a friends house I looked up into the high windows of the building only to see an unmistakeable face looking down on me. Notably shaken I closed my eyes and looked back to see the face gone, I decided I had just let my imagination play tricks on me and blew the idea off. A few weeks later around the same time of night I again found myself walking near the old abandoned building to see lights flickering off rapidly throughout the rooms, which is odd because there isn’t any power reaching the regions that the light was in. People who live in the houses around the old hotel have also said to see ghastly figures walking along the stairwells only to disappear once they reach the doorways.

With a few friends I decided to explore the old place myself to see if it was just a bunch of pranks and people with overactive imaginations. We got in through a window near the roof, which, yes is trespassing but I just had to see for myself. I felt a strange sense of dread when I first entered the building, but I had my friends with me making it more copeable. In the main lobby there is a smashed piano, and as dumb as it sounds I swore I heard sound coming from it, as if it were being played. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is a haunting one, chilling. Through the halls doors can be heard shutting, sometimes even slamming loudly. The windows can often be one mintue closed, and the next be found open. I don’t think I’ll ever go back in that hotel.

Mt. SAC Ghost

I never really gave much thought to such things as ghosts or the paranormal but what happened to me a couple years back gave me a whole new look on such things. I was attending classes at Mt. San Antonio college in Walnut, California. It was January 1998, my last semester there, and I was taking night classes. At that time most night classes were usaully taught on the western side of campus but I found myself one night having to go to the computer lab in the four story building at that eastern side. My friend had told me that the lab was open so we decided to catch up on some homework. The thing about this building is that it is built into a hill so if you enter it on the west side of it you end up on the second floor while the entrance on the south side is one level down. We entered on the west side of the building heading for stairs on the other side after stopping at the Coke machine in the center of the building. She thought it was kind of creepy that no one was around. At this time I asked her if she was sure that the lab was open, She said yeah. So going down the stairway it all of a sudden felt like when you walk into the supermarket on a summer day. But it was wintertime time so we just figured that the heater was out. we got to the bottom level and went through the double doors that lead to the corridor that leads to the computer lab. When the doors closed behind us it really got cold, so NOW we figured that the air conditioner was on by mistake. Most of the over head lights were off but you could still see where you’re going. As we continued walking down the corridor which is about 100 yards long and stretches from one side of the building to the other, we got to the computer lab and it was closed. After cussing for a few seconds my freind grabbed my arm and said shush. I’m thinking ‘what now’ but right then I heard it. Footsteps walking at a fast clip towards us, but no one was there! Well I almost freaked! The steps passed us and you could actually hear rustling of clothes and breathing. I had never been so terrified before in my life. the footsteps continued down the corridor and slowly faded. My friend and I just looked at each other not saying a word. Right then we heard the steps coming back our direction!! Well we ran, and boy did we run! We ran all the way to the library. We never really talked about it to anybody else, only to each other. I hated to go to that building and I never went near it at night the rest of the time I was there. But that one night made me a believer.

About seven years ago, I was living in a house that was around 100 years old, with my two sons, a three year old and a four month old. The house was lovely, and had a real homely feel to it, but I often felt that I was being watched. I had been out to my parents home one night, and was quite late home around 10.30p.m so after closing the curtains and locking up I went straight up to bed. My youngest son still had his cot in my room next to my bed, but I put him next to me in my bed as h e was due a bottle. My oldest son couldn’t get to sleep, and so he ended up in my bed too. I was quite startled however when both the baby and my three year old looked up to the ceiling at the same time, and thier eyes both followed in the same place across from one side of the room to the other. I could not see anything and wondered what on earth they were looking at. Then, my three year old said “bye-bye lady”. Even though I was a little freaked out at this, there was no bad feeling or anythi n g in the room. Needless to say, the bedroom light stayed on all that night!
