I couldnt help but write again. I hope I won’t bore you too much. This happened to me very recently.

We moved into the house we are living in now about two years ago. I will now describe the house because it is important. It is an old one storied bungalow. It is surrounded by trees which are so big that we hardly get any sunlight in the house. We have a rectangular lawn in front of the house. The lawn is right beside the driveway. Our driveway is basically a narrow road that runs straight and ends where we have our main entrance gate. It is lined by several coconut trees on one side. The driveway therefore has the lawn on one side and a narrow line of coconut trees on the other side. I hope I am not confusing you.

Me and my friend, let’s call her Sarah, were having a walk in our driveway one night. It was around 9 or 9:30 p.m. We were talking about our lives and how we used to dream what we wanted to be and stuff like that. We then started to talk about our marriages (we were just planning, we are not even formally engaged). Suddenly I noticed that there was a cool breeze blowing. I looked up and I saw that the coconut tree leaves were swaying quite hard. It was quite weird coz there was nothing happening in the lawn or anywhere else. It was in fact a quiet night with no wind or breeze blowing anywhere.

In fact as we continued to walk to and fro in the driveway, I noticed that the wind only blew as we went past a particular coconut tree. I was still not spooked but only amazed at this. Sarah didnt seem to notice anything. She kept on talking about her boyfriend when all of a sudden she turned the
conversation over to me.She asked me what my plans are so I disregarded the wind and started telling her my plans when suddenly we heard a loud “THUMP” followed by a “SWOOSH”. Sarah was startled and so was I. We looked to our right and found that an old coconut leaf just fell off the tree. The sound numbed us for some time but we soon forgot about it and started talking about MY wedding plans. After a few seconds it happened again.

Now this was weird and Sarah decided to leave. So I walked her to the gate. Again the wind blew as I walked past the coconut tree. After Sarah left I wanted to do a little investigation so I decided to wait in our front porch and observe whether there was any wind blowing when I was not around. I waited for quite some time and found out to my surprise that there was no wind blowing and everything was very quiet outside. In fact the trees were all perfectly still. Then I decided to venture into the driveway and get to the bottom of this. The moment I stepped into the driveway, there was wind blowing and the tree started swaying again. I did this a couple of times and every time got the same results.

Could this be a coincidence? Or was there something out in the tree that acknowledged my presence and did not want me to talk about my wedding? I certainly felt that whatever it was, it DID NOT want me to talk about getting married.

I have more stories but I’ll only write those if I get a positive response from all of you. I would be very happy if someone could help me understand this phenomenon.
