When I was little I used to see things. I would see people in my room who were not there. I would get so scared that I would scream and throw my stuffed animals at them. I remember one time my mother asked me to go get some socks out of her room so I made my way to her room. As I entered the doorway I looked to the right on the other side of the bed. I saw the socks levitating and waving back and forth as if someone was saying, “Here they areā¦come get them.” I ran back to my mother and told her what had happened but she didn’t believe me. In that same house one night I heard someone say “Sarah, go brush your teeth.” I did this and then went and told my mother that I had done what she asked only she told me that she had never said anything like that.
I am 16 now and strange things happen very often in this new house. I was on the computer on early morning at around 2:30 when the dog, who was sleeping next to my chair, woke up suddenly and started growling at the kitchen. I was a bit worried because this dog never growls, but I shook it off. Next, the blind right next to me moved like it had been hit hard by someone. Then I heard the faucet turn on. I got up and went into the kitchen to see if someone was up, but no one was there. The faucet turned off all by itself. I was more scared than I have ever been, so I turned the computer off and went to bed. The lights get turned off in the main hallway very often, also.
A couple months later my parents went on vacation, leaving me at the house by myself. As I was getting ready for bed I noticed that the hall light was still on. I had a bad feeling about leaving the room I was in but I didn’t pay attention. I went out to the switch and just as my fingers were about to reach it I heard pounding footsteps running up the hallway toward me. There was no one there and the dogs were no where to be found. A few nights later as I was trying to get to sleep I heard a little boy saying “What’s the matter? Can’t you hear me?” I looked around my room but could see nothing so I tried to sleep again. I heard his voice again, only this time it said “You’re not much of a challenge.” Things like this are frightening and I wish they wouldn’t happen but they do and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
