I have been lurking, as it seems to be called here, for a while and have sent in one story already. As I stated before, I have experienced many strange things in my life. Not as exciting or scary as some but none the less strange.
In my last story I did not give many details of myself so for those interested I will before I get into my next story. I am 38 now, a 5’9″ 250 lb avid powerlifter and martial artist. Have been in the security field for most of my life. Spent 4 years serving my country as a marine in the infantry. I tell you these things not to brag or boast. Just to let the reader know I dont scare easy. I’m used to dealing with fear and know how to deal with the fight or flight syndrome.
I now work at a large hotel that is 5 stories tall with 235 rooms. I work the midnight shift. When I first started all was well, but after about two weeks I began to get a feeling of being watched/followed when I walked the floors. At times it was so strong that I would spin around quickly thinking I’d catch someone that came out of a room messing around with me, but each time I did nothing was there. Sometimes I’d get this all the time and other times not at all for weeks or only on certain floors.
Finally after about 4 months of this and right after an experience, I went downstairs to the night auditor and asked him, “I know this is going to sound crazy but is this place haunted or has anyone ever had weird experiences here?” The auditor looked at me for a second, then explained that in previous years 2 people had died in the hotel in separate incidents, and the other security guard who I replaced swore up and down this place was haunted. Needless to say I was a bit surprised, but also not surprised at the same time. Due to a recent divorce and hard times I now live in the same hotel and have even more stories to tell but will wait since this is a long story in itself.
